OverviewCyberPolygon is a comprehensive Blender addon for mesh optimization, PBR material workflow, and game-ready asset export. From intelligent decimation to automatic texture management and batch exporting, CyberPolygon streamlines your entire 3D workflow while preserving important details like UVs and custom normals.
Features
Mesh Decimation
- Real-time polygon count display for selected objects
- Multiple decimation modes (Collapse and Planar)
- Collapse mode with decimation by ratio or target polygon count
- Planar mode with decimation by angle limit or target polygon count
- Shape key handling options (Skip, Apply Basis, Remove All)
- Geometry protection options for precise control
- Preservation of UVs and custom normals
- Edge display controls for better visualization
- Convenient undo/redo functionality

- Automatic Setup - Creates proper node setups with correct colorspace settings
- AO Mixing - Automatically mixes ambient occlusion with base color for realistic shading
- Support for Base Color, Normal, Roughness, Metallic, and AO maps
- One-click material application to selected objects
Convex Hull Generator
- Quick Hull Creation - Generate convex collision hulls with one click
- Resolution Control - Adjustable face count using live decimation slider
- Visual Modes - Switch between Wireframe, Clay, and Normal shading

- Auto Smooth - Apply auto smooth with customizable angle to exports
- Transform Options - Apply transforms and move to origin before export
- Texture Control - Embed textures or create texture folders
- Per-Object Settings - Custom prefix/suffix for each exported object
- Tangent and normal map export options for GLB
How to Use
After installation, you'll find the CyberPolygon panel in the 3D View sidebar with four main sections:Mesh Optimizer
- Select the mesh objects you want to decimate
- Choose your decimation method (ratio or target count)
- Adjust your preservation options
- Click "Decimate Selection"
- Use undo/redo buttons if needed
PBR Materials
- Select a folder containing your PBR textures
- Click "Auto Fill" to automatically detect and assign textures
- Verify the texture assignments
- Click "Apply Material" to create the PBR shader setup
Convex Hull
- Select your mesh object
- Click "Create Convex Hull"
- Adjust the Hull Resolution slider to control face count
- Use shading modes to visualize the hull
- Apply when satisfied or delete to start over
Utilities (Batch Export)
- Select objects to export and click "Refresh Selection"
- Enable/disable individual objects in the list
- Choose export mode (Individual or Combined)
- Configure export options (auto smooth, transforms, etc.)
- Click "Export FBX" or "Export GLB"
Key Highlights
- Automatic ORM Splitting - FBX exports automatically extract Roughness and Metallic channels from ORM textures, creating clean separate texture files
- Smart Texture Detection - Recognizes common naming patterns (diffuse, normal, roughness, metallic, orm, etc.)
- Game-Ready Workflow - Optimized for game asset creation with proper LOD generation and collision hull tools
- Non-Destructive - All operations preserve original data until explicitly applied
- Blender 4.0+ Optimized - Built specifically for Blender 4.0 and later versions
Made on Blender 4.0 and might work for some previous versions and later versions, but if not report back and just maybe may update to support other versions depending on demand for it...
